Time Well Spent

Time Well Spent THREE DEEPLY FELT LEARNINGS: 1. Passion: The utilization of your passion. The beginnings of my time at Walden were marked with discovering and refining my passion. Now I have come full circle and have seen my passion being put into action. Amazing to say the least. 2. Collaboration: Collaboration has been a constant during my time at Walden. The communication and collectivity between my colleagues and myself have been priceless. Not only do we share in our passions, we also have some similarities in our personal lives. Advice on how to balance professionalism and personal attributes have been evident in our discussions, blogging, and e-mailing. 3. Self-Reflection: Each course allowed me the ability to self-reflect ensuring that I am steadily concerning myself with the overall nurturance and well-being of children and families. This is a strong character trait that will be valuable in the area of leadership. Thanks Walden for imparting the wisdom of self-reflection. To conclude, I want to share a very inspirational bible verse that has significance in birthing my gift for children and leadership. I would like to leave you with an excerpt from that foundational verse: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates” (New International Version, n.d.). 3. Janielle,
It has been a blessing to work along side of you. If we speak things though they are they are certainly to come to pass. He hears all of our desires (big or small). He is smiling at the work we want to do for his little children. Stay strong and continue to work for our little ones. Please feel free to keep in touch. I would love to become a life long friend.

  4. Janille,
Your strength in God will always see you through, and help you when you are at your worst. You have come such a long way throughout this program and we all have a lot to be proud of. I know I am looking forward to going to bed at a descent hour and not having the stress in my life. Hopefully with more time it will allow us to reach for our passion and achieve our goals.

  5. Janille, passion was also my number 1! This has been an amazing journey and I am glad for the time we had together but we all know this is just the beginning. We have so much work to do and I can't wait to hear about everyone's true successes. Congratulations to you and I wish you success in everything you do.
